Despite of all the efforts desertion of the leaders continues in the Telugu Desam Party. Merely after three days of the desertion of senior party leader K. Nani Today one more leader former Polit Bureau Member Uppuleti Kalpana also called on YSR Congress Honorary President Y S Vijaya Lakshmi in her Lotus Pond residence.
After the meeting Kalpana told the media persons that she was suspended from the party just because she met Mekaparti Raj Mohan Reddy on his office to gave condolence for the death of his mother. She condemned the attitude of the party supremo and told that within 15 minutes of her meeting with the Mekaparti Raj Mohan Reddy she was suspended from the party.
Kalpana said injustice to the Dalit leaders has been continued in the Telugu Desam Party. If the leader belongs to upper caste meets with other party leaders then no action will be taken against them. Only Dalit leaders are being targeted for the same. Despite of working hard for the party, Dalit leaders deprived from the justice and facing discrimination in Telugu Desam, not even Dalit but SC, ST, BC and Minorities are also facing disparity and discrimination in the party, this is what the reason these sections are making themselves separate with the party.
Kalpana alleged that Telugu Desam Party do justice only to the rich people and not with Dalits. She told the action taken against her is insult to the Dalit people. Because of this injustice meted out against her, she called on YSR Congress Party Honorary President Vijayalakshmi to convey her decision to join the party.
Uppuleti Kalpana also told that she is impressed with the way Jagan Mohan Reddy working for the downtrodden and decided to join the YSR Congress Party. After consulting with her supporters she will announce the date of joining YSRC, Kalpana Said. (INN)
