Nalbari, September 27: Unknown assailants shot dead a surrendered ULFA cadre in lower Assam’s Baksa district, police said today.
Police said the two armed assailants shot dead Gunojit Bhorali (30) from close range at Baganpara near a Durga Puja pandal last night.
Bhorali was shifted in a serious condition to Nalbari civil hospital from where he was referred to the Gauhati Medical College Hospital.
The surrendered cadre, known as SULFA, succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.
Police have launched a search operation to nab the assailants.
