Students of Eflu protest

Hyderabad, August 10: The students and staff of English and Foreign Languages University, (Eflu), on Tuesday staged separate protests on the university campus demanding a permanent vice-chancellor and registrar, proper pay fixation to faculty besides restoring residential quarters to teaching staff.

The students complained that the university management was not developing its-100 acre land at Bhudan Pochampally. That land could be used for offering M.Phil and PhD courses while the campus in the city could concentrate on integrated courses, the students said. The Eflu teachers association chief, Mr V.B. Tarakeshwar, observed that the varsity administration was ignoring its demands like introduction of Career Advancement Scheme.
