Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today raised objection on Krishna River Water Board draft. In a letter reportedly addressed to Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharathi, KCR asked the former to stop the water board from releasing draft notification.
Since the water board notification is not complying with the Bifurcation Act it should be stalled, he said. KCR further said that the Centre cannot take a decision as the dispute on water allocations among two states is yet to be finalized. Telangana Government has already approached the Tribunal seeking justice, any decision in this regard will only hamper our interests, he noted. (NSS)
