Hyderabad: DGP of ACB, Mr. Abdul Khayum Khan told that stern action would be taken against irregularities committed in the implementation of loans and Shaadi Mubarak schemes. He was addressing the function of distributing auto rickshaws held at Hajj House yesterday. He told that the budget allocated for the Dept. of Minorities Welfare should be utilized properly and the amount should reach the really deserving persons. CM also wants that there should not be any scope for irregularities in the implementation of these schemes. He appealed to the people to identify the middlemen and inform him for taking action against them. He desired the CM to allocate more funds for the implementation of other schemes. He informed that 70 residential schools are being started in which education from 5th to 7th standards would be imparted. 12 such schools would be established in Hyderabad City.
It may be noted that Govt. of Telangana appointed Mr. A.K. Khan with full powers to monitor the functioning of Minorities Welfare Dept. He has the authority to examine the files of any of these institutions. In the wake of controversial decisions taken by Wakf Board in respect of Wakf properties, Govt. of Telangana appointed Mr. A.K. Khan to improve the functioning of this Dept. He holds the rank higher than the Secretary of Minorities Welfare Dept.
