Steps to check Power shutdowns in summer urged

Expressing serious concern over soaring temperatures even before the peak summer season, MIM Floor Leader Akbaruddin Owaisi appealed to the State Government to take steps on a priority basis to prevent any power crisis.

Speaking on the Appropriation Bill in the State Assembly today, the MIM leader pointed out that even before the onset of peak summer months, the temperature in Hyderabad has touched 40 degrees Celsius  and many parts of Telangana were reeling under scorching heat wave conditions. He reminded the government about the directions of the High Court last year to take appropriate measures to ease the power crisis during summer months and the assurance made by the government to constitute special committees to oversee the power problems.

The MIM leader appealed to the State government to immediately constitute the committees headed by relevant special officers to oversee and tackle the problems that crop up during peak summer like water shortage, power cuts and so on. (NSS).
