State govt effects transfer of collector of CM

Hyderabad, April 09: On Friday, The state government effected transfer of bureaucrats including collector of the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s native Chittoor district.

Mr Seshadri, known for his straight forward approach, was shifted from Chittoor and is given another important task as collector of Ranga Reddy district. The CM picked another bureaucrat who is also known for his integrity — Mr Solomon Arokiaraj — for Chittoor. Interestingly, this is Mr Arokiaraj’s first assignment as collector.

The CM sent Dr Ashok, a promotee IAS, as collector of Adilabad and Mr Muktheswara Rao, another promotee, as collector of Nalgonda. Another promotee officer, Mr P. Venkatram Reddy, who figured in the Outer Ring Road land acquisition controversy, for the time being was not considered for now.

The transfer of collectors of West Godavari (Ms Vani Mohan), Guntur (Mr Ramanjaneyulu) and Nellore (Mr Ramagopal) is also likely as they are going on a mandatory mid-career training for about two months.

Besides Mr Arokiaraj, the government gave the first opportunity as collector to ORR project director Mr Siddharth Jain and posted him to Khammam. The Nalgonda collector, Mr S.A.M. Rizvi, was shifted to Krishna district in existing vacancy. In a strategic manner, the government posted Adilabad collector, Mr P. Venkateswarlu, as MD of Apco. The post fell vacant as Mr Raja Gopal offered to quit following the textiles minister Mr P. Shankar Rao filing a case against him under the SC,ST Atrocities (Prevention) Act.

The incumbent Ranga Reddy collector Mr Dana Kishore was not given posting. Mr Mudavatu M. Nayak, commissioner, Guntur municipal corporation was transferred and posted as Joint Collector, Khammam, in place of Mr Mohammed Abdul Azeem, who is posted as Chief Rationing Officer, Hyderabad.
