State govt to crack down on Telangana employees

Hyderabad, February 24: The state government has decided to crack down on the Telangana employees’ Joint Action Committee finally which has been on a non-cooperation mode since February 17.

After discussing the repercussions of the non-cooperation protest with senior officials on Wednesday evening, the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, directed them to take stern action against employees who were forcibly preventing others from attending to their duties.

Sources said that the police have been instructed to deploy personnel at state offices if needed. The Chief Minister was of the view that the government could not afford to allow the non-cooperation protest to continue much longer as it was affecting the flow of revenues to the exchequer.
