New Delhi : Ace Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri produced an astonishing performance as he finished tied sixth in the US PGA Dean and Deluca Invitational golf tournament, thereby registering his first top-10 position of the ongoing season of the PGA tour.
The 28-year-old fired a closing round of 68 to finish the tournament with a total of nine-under 275 at the Colonial Country Club.
The finish also saw Lahiri better his previous best of tied 21st at the CIMB Classic in Malaysia and climb up to 88th spot on the FedEx Cup table.
World number two Jordan Spieth shot a 65 in final round to clinch his first victory since a Masters meltdown. He finished with a total of 17-under 263 and a three points ahead of Harris English (266).
With the win, Spieth also captured his first PGA crown in his home state of Texas.
Meanwhile, Ryan Palmer and Webb Simpson (267) finished at the third spot ahead of Kyle Reifers in the fifth at 268. (ANI)
