Keira Knightley’s acting made John Carney swear off `supermodels`

Melbourne : Working with Keira Knightley in the 2013 film ‘Begin Again’ was not an enjoyable experience for director John Carney.

According to the director, it was the 31-year-old actress’ entourage that made his work difficult, hence vowed to “never make a film with supermodels again,” reports News.com.au.

The 44-year-old filmmaker mentioned that he did not enjoy the experience of paparazzi and fabulous openings as the “movie star world” never appealed her.

“Not that I didn’t enjoy ‘Begin Again,’ but Keira has an entourage that follow her everywhere so it’s very hard to get any real work done,” he said.

In the film, the ‘Once’ actress played a young musician, but the director did not feel her acting to be very convincing.

“I think the real problem was that Keira wasn’t a singer and wasn’t a guitar player and it’s very hard to make music seem real if it’s not with musicians,” he added. (ANI)
