Chennai, September 03: It was a star-studded wedding as Tamil Superstar Rajnikanth’s second daughter Soundarya entered into a wedlock with Stanford graduate and Industrialist Ashwin Ramkumar today.
The wedding, which took place in Rani Meyammai Hall at Egmore in the city, was held in a grand manner as eminent political leaders and who’s who from the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film industry graced the occasion and blessed the couple.
It was an emotional moment for Rajni’s wife Latha, when Ashwin tied the nuptial knot (Thirumangalyam) around the neck of Soundarya with nagaswaram’ and ‘thavil’ playing in the background.
The marriage hall was jampacked right from the morning with the presence of leading directors, politicians, actors and family of the bride and the groom.
Attired in white shirt and dhoti, Rajni performed the wedding rituals amid chanting of vedic hymns.
Among the political leaders, Union Home Minister P Chidambaram and MDMK General Secretary Vaiko attended the wedding and blessed the couple.
