Hyderabad, April 14: The Congress president, Mrs Sonia Gandhi, on Wednesday asked the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, to hit out at the former MP, Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, but told him not to criticise YSR and his programmes.
The Congress president reportedly did not favour the acceptance of resignation by agriculture minister, Mr Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, from the Cabinet on moral grounds. She is said to have told Mr Kiran to pacify Mr Viveka and ensure that he continues as minister. The Congress chief gave clear instructions to attack Mr Jagan as he had challenged the leadership of Mrs Gandhi several times through his speeches. The Chief Minister, on a political visit to Delhi, briefed her that the situation wil favour Congress in Kadapa and Pulivendula.
