Indore, October 21: Mallika Sherawat, whose Hiss is all set to hit the screens this Friday, said snake-stories are still very popular among people.
“Though snake stories have been told often, they are still popular among the people. I was very happy to play a snake-woman in Hiss,” Mallika told reporters here today.
Also, she said her character in the movie should not be compared to the ones played by yesteryear actress, Sridevi.
My character in Hiss’ is very different from the ones essayed by Sridevi. I play a ‘today’s snake woman’, the Murder actor said.
Earlier, Sridevi had won accolades for her snake-woman roles in movies like Nagina and its sequel Nigahen.
Hiss has been directed by American filmmaker Jennifer Lynch and stars Irfan Khan and Divya Dutta besides Mallika.
