Minister for Panchayat Raj Jupally Krishna Rao directed to complete the target of giving training to 22000 resource persons under Employment Generation Marketing Mission (EGMM). Chairing the first governing body meeting at Secretariat here the minister said that it was decided to increase salaries of 89 job resources persons to Rs 7500 from Rs 5000.
Minister asked that the skill development and training centers be set up at all district headquarters with all facilities. The job resource persons play key role in this regard and extend the same to villages. The officials informed that against the target of giving training to 37,310 resource persons by 2019 so far 15,186 persons were offered. The minister directed that the rest of 22000 persons also be given necessary training this financial year. EGMM should prepare a plan to get additional targets under the scheme from the centre he said.
The minister instructed to remove agencies which are not working properly and replace them with active ones. A total Rs 322 cr will be spent for providing skill development training for 37,310 persons under the scheme by 2019 he added. Details of the trained persons be made online and set up call center to clarify doubts. The state government is committed to provide skill development training in districts to tap the potential of the people to get jobs and employment opportunities he said. (NSS)
