Hyderabad, January 31: Six persons, including some from Bihar who were working as security personnel in the city, were nabbed and six fire arms including a country- made weapon were recovered by the Task Force sleuths.
On a tip-of f, the Task Force sleuths nabbed five persons, Dheeraj Singh and Ravinder Singh Yadav of UP, Ashok Singh and Dhananjaya Singh of Bihar and Narayana Manoj Singh of Langer Houz, and seized four .32 revolvers, a .32 pistol and 42 live rounds of ammunition and five gun licences from them.
Police said Dheeraj and Ravinder were working for Sri Sai Security Services while Dhananjaya and Narayana were working as gunmen for B Gyaneshwar, former sarpanch of Bandlaguda village in Rajendranagar.
Police said the five secured gun licences from the concerned departments of their respective states and procured weapons and ammunition. They migrated to the city a year ago and were working in security agencies and as gunmen.
“They, however, did not register their gun licences in the records of concerned local police stations in the city,’’ Task Force DCP V B Kamalasan Reddy said. In another raid, Task Force sleuths nabbed another Bihari, Nageshwar Tiwari, and seized a country-made .32 pistol and 10 live rounds from him.
Though Nageshwar Tiwari was in possession of a gun licence, he purchased a country-made .32 pistol from an unknown person and with the help of it, he was working as a security guard in the city.
