Six persons injured in group clash, firing in Bharatpur

Jaipur: Two groups of Mev community clashed today over an incident of eve teasing at Ghoghora village of Bharatpur district, leaving six persons including two women injured, police said.

The two injured women who received bullets were rushed to a government hospital in Alwar, while four men were discharged after first aid, SHO of Kaithwara Thana Bhojram said.

One of the groups lodged an FIR with the Kaithwara police, he said.

A few policemen were deployed in the village as a precautionary measure, he said, adding the exact reason of their quarrel leading to clash and firing would be probed.

No arrest was so far made in this connection, he added.

Two groups also indulged in altercation and quarrel last night over the eve teasing matter, the SHO said.
