New Delhi, October 13: Silver coins today touched a fresh peak of Rs 32,800 per 100 piece in the bullion market here on brisk buying by stockists and retail customers ahead of Diwali.
Silver coins, used for gifting purpose during marriages or as an offering to God during Diwali, rose by Rs 100 at Rs 32,700 for buying and Rs 32,800 for selling of 100 pieces.
However, silver ready fell by Rs 50 to Rs 27,500 per kg and weekly based delivery by Rs 85 to Rs 27,450 per kg on better supply.
Besides, standard gold and ornaments rose further by Rs 25 each to Rs 16,120 and Rs 15,970 per 10 gram, respectively, while sovereign continued to be asked around previous level of Rs 12,950 per piece of eight gram.
