Hyderabad, April 13: The Director General of Police (DGP), Mr R R Girish Kumar, on Tuesday, disclosed that six police officers were found responsible for lathi-charge on journalists in the Osmania University.
Speaking to mediapersons in the Secretariat here, Mr Girish Kumar said that he has received the report from the CB-CID which has been asked to conduct an inquiry into the police lathi-charge on journalists on the OU campus. The CB-CID report has held six police officers responsible for the incident.
The police department would submit the report to the State government soon and action would be taken against the erring police officials, who were found guilty, he added. (NSS)
