Bhopal, June 18:’Sheeshon Ka Mahal’, a documentary film based on the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy, commissioned by the Madhya Pradesh government, may never see the light of day as its original print has been lost, official sources said today.
The print of the documentary made by filmmaker Muzaffar Ali is no longer available with Madhyam, a wing of the state government’s Public Relations Department, which had commissioned it.
When asked about the condition of the print, sources said that it cannot be said for sure whether the print has been damaged or permanently lost.
‘Sheeshon Ka Mahal’ is a documentary film based on the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy, which killed over 15,000 people and left lakhs diseased.
Meanwhile Ali told PTI that he will approach Doordarshan with a request to screen the documentary so that people know what happened during and after the tragedy.
