Chandigarh, August 08: Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is upbeat about his soon-to-be-released film “Kaminey” opposite Priyanka Chopra but rues that it has been given “A” certification by the Film Censor Board.
Twenty-seven-year-old Shahid, who was in the city today to promote his film, said he was surprised why the film had been given the ‘Adult’ certification.
“Our whole team is surprised. The Board has reasoned that due to violence shown in the film, the Adult certification has been given. But the same yardstick was not applied in (Aamir Khan-starrer) Ghajini’s case, which was given the ‘UA’ certification. Moreover, no abusive language has been used in my film,” Shahid said.
About his film which he said is the first commercial venture of director Vishal Bhardwaj, Shahid said he plays a double role.
He said it was his first film which is not a love story.
