Shabbir eulogizes services of Abul Kalam Azad

Leader of the Opposition in the Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir has stated that country’s first Union Education Minister Abul Kalam Azad was a leader that the nation feels proud of his services. Azad fought for freedom of the nation and the Centre honoured Azad by conferring “Bharat Ratna”, he recalled.

           

Speaking at Abul Kalam Azad’s 128th birth anniversary function held at Prakasham Hall in Gandhi Bhavan on Friday under the leadership of TPCC Minority Cell Chairman Fakruddin, Shabbir Ali said the services of Azad to the nation were unforgettable. Former Union Minister Sarve Satyanarayana said Azad had a record that he was the Congress leader worked as AICC president at a tender age.

           

Earlier, Shabbir Ali, Sarve Satyanarayana, TPCC vice-presidents Mallu Ravi and Kumar Rao, TPCC general secretaries Azmatullah Hussaini, Uzma Shakir, Afzaluddin, Minority Cell City president Sohail and others paid floral tributes to the portrait of Azad. (NSS)
