All set for fish medicine distribution today: DCP Kamalasan

Deputy Commissioner of Police Kamalasan Reddy on Tuesday cautioned the people coming to the city for receiving fish medicine to remain alert and maintain order.

 

Talking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Kamalasan Reddy said hundreds of people were pouring into the city for fish medicine administration. He made it clear that the fish medicine distribution will begin in the Exhibition Grounds at Nampally from Wednesday afternoon and elaborate arrangements were made for the purpose.

 

Meanwhile, officials said they have procured 40,000 “Korra” fish under the aegis of the Telangana Fisheries Department to be administered for chronic Asthma patients. Stating that over one lakh “Korra” fish would be brought by Tuesday evening, the officials said 32 counters have been set up at Exhibition Grounds for distribution among the patients at the rate of Rs 15 for one fish. Separate counters were opened for women, disabled, old aged and VIPs. Queue lines were arranged to ensure there will be no stampede at fish distribution centers. (NSS)
