Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM), an organization led by Microsofts Chief Information Security Officer, enables Microsoft to deliver the most trusted devices and services. ISRMs vision is to ensure all information and services are protected, secured, and available for appropriate use through innovation and a robust risk framework.
The Information Security Manager will play a key role in establishing, developing and maintaining a sustainable relationship between the Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) organization and their assigned Business Process or Service unit. The role will be responsible for creating perceived business value through measureable risk reduction within their assigned area. Accomplishment of this goal will include establishing the role as a security thought leader that is capable of working not only with IT teams but also the business teams that IT supports.
Key Capabilities
Demonstrate strong ability to quickly grasp on to business acumen and use that knowledge in a timely way to balance the conversation between business requirements and security requirements.
Demonstrate the ability to understand risk appetite at all levels of the organization and apply that knowledge to risk trade-off decisions.
Demonstrate experience and proficiency in process development and support of process development efforts.
Demonstrate prior experience communicating (written and verbally) at various levels throughout the company including Senior Management
Having a previous background in Information Security Risk, Compliance, Policy, Business Continuity, and Risk Treatment processes is a plus.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information System/ Information Technology, Engineering or a related technical discipline
7 years of solid technology experience of which 3-5 years of experience in software development with strong knowledge of secure software development processes and techniques.
Proven ability to manage large spans, and lead global virtual teams and projects with diverse, conflicting requirements and dependencies.
Good knowledge of infrastructure and application security concepts such as Microsoft security stack, Network security concepts & Industry security management frameworks such as ISO & PCI.
Broad grasp of competing technology platforms, and market trends
Desired Information security certifications: CISSP, CISM
