Ranchi, March 13: She famously stripped naked for her debut film ‘Bandit Queen’ 17 years ago and acclaimed actress Seema Biswas will go nude on screen again for her latest, ‘Tomorrow’, which explores the underworld of Mumbai.
The 46-year-old actress said that the naked scenes in her first film, including a gang rape, were tough but she went ahead in a bid to bring Phoolan Devi, the infamous dacoit, to life.
“‘Bandit Queen’ was like reliving the life of Phoolan Devi and she was brutally gang raped. However, many people saw sex and glamour even in that crime. I tried to be as convincing and real as possible for my viewers,” the National Award winning actress told PTI.
