School of Computer Science of Urdu University named after Dr. Abdul Kalam

Maulana Azad National Urdu University has named its newly established School of Computer Science and Information Technology (CS & IT) as “A.P.J. Abdul Kalam School of Computer Science and Information Technology”. CS & IT’s newly constructed building was inaugurated recently. It has been named after former president of India and eminent technologist Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

According to a notification released by the Registrar, University’s Executive Council has also decided to name the Central Library of University as “Saiyid Hamid Library”. Saiyid Hamid who passed away recently, was an eminent educationist and closely associated with MANUU from its formative days.

University has earlier named the Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy (CSSEIP) after the well known scientist Abu Rehan Mohammad ibn Ahmed Al-Beruni, whose treatise on India is considered as one of the most authentic document for reference.
