Hyderabad: CPI National Secretary Dr K Narayana today said Supreme Court verdict reinstating Alok Verma as CBI Chief was a slap on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Modi should seek an apology to the nation for defaming the CBI and being admonished by the Supreme Court, he demanded.
The CPI leader slammed the Prime Minster for involving in the CBI affairs and insulting it. Modi has inducted persons of his interest into the CBI and insulted the institution and its officials. Narayana allege that the Modi Government deputed corrupt officials in the CBI. It is totally wrong to conduct raids on the CBI by its own officials. The recent crisis in the CBI has defamed it due to the Central policy. Modi should apologise to the nation for the sorry state of affairs, he said.
