Abha: Blackmailing activities are found to be increasing among young Saudi women. They extract money from men by such activities. They use social networking sites, and dating apps.
Experts alleged that it is the result of bad friends, lack of religious sentiments, negligence by families to monitor the activities of their children and Internet.
Hadi Al-Yami, a noted lawyer told that blackmailing is done by threatening someone to expose their weak points.
Mr. Al-Yami mentioned that as per Saudi Criminal Law whoever publishes such details on Internet with the intention of defaming others could be imprisoned for one year or fined up to SR500, 000 or both.
