Mumbai, May 20: Director of ‘Satte Pe Satta’ remake, Sonam Shah has apparently upset producer and actor Sanjay Dutt by announcing Madhuri Dixit’s name as the female lead despite knowing very well about the infamous fall-out between the duo in 1993.
In fact this has miffed Sanju so much that recently the actor came out and made a remark that Madhuri was never approached by the producers. In fact, it was either Aishwarya Rai Bachchan or Kajol who were the first choices for the role originally played by Hema Malini in the 1982 flick.
A source revealed that since Kajol had a baby last year, Sanju didn’t want her to put in fix. On the other hand, Aishwarya is cited the non-availability of dates. During this time, two more names which have come up for consideration are Rani Mukerji and Karisma Kapoor.
In the meantime, when contacted Sanjay, the actor said that he along with co-producer Shree Ashtavinayak are waiting for Aishwarya’s decision and has no idea why Soham made such a decision without even confirming with them. The actor further quoted that the script was never sent to Madhuri and nor has the money exchanged hands. And since he is in Diu currently, he is unaware of what is happening in Mumbai.
