Paris : Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza and her Croatian partner Ivan Dodig continued their impressive progress at the French Open as the duo reached the semifinals of the mixed doubles event here on Thursday.
The second-seeded duo claimed a 6-1, 3-6, 10-6 win over Chinese Taipei-Belarus pair of Yung-Jan Chan and Max Mirnyi in the quarterfinal round at Roland Garros.
Sania and Dodig produced a rich vein of form to secure the opening set but faltered in the second one before clinching the thrilling super tie-breaker. They will next face local favourites Kristina Mladenovic and Pierre-Hugues Herbert to secure a spot in the final. (ANI)
