Sangh Parivar turning Sabarimala into Ayodhya: Spiritual Guru

New Delhi: Spiritual leader Sandeepananda Giri said that the Sangh Parivar is trying to make Sabarimala another Ram Mandir issue. He also alleged that his ashram in Thiruvananthapuram was attacked by unidentified assailants on Saturday.

Giri is one of the few saints who are supporting the SC verdict lifting a ban on the entry of women aged between 10 and 50 from entering the temple. He asked the people of Kerala to realise that they were being misled by some people in the name of faith and traditions.

It must be noted that BJP is trying to mobilise the support of devotees against the SC decision and challenge the CPM government in the state.

The spiritual Guru said there are multiple interpretations of mythology and that should not lead to any discrimination. He further alleged that the Sabarimala priest family and the Pandalam royal family want to have complete control over the temple.

Meanwhile, the Kerala BJP on Sunday announced a ‘Rath Yatra’ to save the customs and traditions of Lord Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala.
