Salma Agha eyes more assignments in Bollywood

New Delhi, January 12: Pakistani singer-actor Salma Agha is back in Bollywood after a decade-long hiatus and is looking forward to resume her journey in the Indian film industry from where she left it years ago.

The 48-year-old is best remembered for her role of Niloufer Bano, a woman torn between two husbands in B R Chopra’s 1982 film ‘Nikaah’. Chopra depicted the misuse of Sharia laws in divorce through the movie, which also starred Raj Babbar and Deepak Parashar.

Salma debuted with the movie and also won the Filmfare Best Female Playback Award for her song ‘Dil Ke Armaan’.

The yesteryear’s star has just finished the recording of a duet song with composer-singer Bappi Lahiri for ‘Bachao’ and is looking for more engagements in Bollywood.
