Sai Trust owes Rs 3 crore to AP Transco

Anantpur, July 9: AP Transco issued notice to Sri Satya Sai Central Trust to pay pending electricity charges of its superspeciality hospital, immediately.
The hospital has to pay Rs 3.35 crore electricity charges.
According to sources, the Transco is providing power supply at the rate of 30 paise per unit as against the actual charge of `4, giving subsidy of `3.70 considering that the hospital is providing free treatment to the poor.
However, no trust official was available to respond to the notice issued by Transco.
The Satya Sai Central Trust is busy preparing a detailed report on the activities of the trust as sought by the government.
Following series of allegations against some of the trust members and seizure of cash, the government demanded the trust to submit a report including trust activities, funds they were getting from various sources, expenditure and also the assets of the trust members.
According to sources, the Trust members are fully occupied in preparing a comprehensive report to submit to the government on July 11 or 12.
