New Delhi, April 08: India, a great country, with pride, not only for its natural resources, rivers, mountain, weather and population but many more reasons like past glory, great culture, colorful rituals, dresses, multilingual society, joint families, icons, monuments, philosophy, democracy, equality, fastest growing economy and acceptance of all world religions etc… is now moving towards certification era.
Everyone is wanting certificates! Leaders, in other words-political managers- need certificates from bigger political managers, social organizations are trying for international recognitions, film directors are desperate for critic certificates and more than that desire for Oscar’s, musician is run for Grammy, players are playing not for wining certificates in the game but to rise in the eyes of media planners, advertisers and worst scenario- peoples hope and the basis of good governance- ‘civil servants’ are eager to take certificates from their political Aaka’s.
Where is the public-common man- gone? No one is worried about them or bothers to take certificates from them. This means in such a great democracy like ours- the real raja ‘Janta’ is not in the aim. Muscle power, black money and corruption are very irrelevant terms in these days. Ruling party and main opposition party are fighting with each other for JPC or no JPC on 2G scam, not trying to find and trace the truth but only battling for certificates. Certificates like-who is more corrupt or who makes more money or who makes greater fool of public.
Looking beyond this corruption and certification our people need good food, pure air, basic and higher education, health, electricity, water and road infrastructure, youth need jobs, farmer needs good markets, women needs equality, more or less every one needs good governance, peaceful environment and healthy law and order situation…when did our politician make an issue on these basic public needs and demands can just keep one guessing.
Right to live a peaceful life is also part of our constitution but our people’s representatives have forgotten this fact. They represent citizen’s in Parliament and Assemblies but today they are not bothered about public issues. They are busy making money and runing country like their own property, many of them enter into politics only for self interest. Every political party and their managers have interest in running government like self centered business houses.
If you think about 2G Spectrum issue and want to hold someone responsible for the scam, you will not find a single person. In fact the whole corrupt system is involved. Can anyone explain what is the difference between A Raja, M Karunanidhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and RatanTata, Anil Ambani, Neera Radia and others .Minus Manmohan Singh everyone has played for self interest…Corporate houses have always run business for profits so their interest is understandable but how do we forgive our politicians?
Maybe Manmohan Singh is not part of corrupt coterie but being the head of Executive, the Prime Minister of India is also accused for his sleepy, silence and cold approach on this and many other corruption related issues specially all that have happened in this regime…anyway, we don’t know, when we would get rid of this virus of corruption and live life like a proud Indian citizen.
Beyond the lines:
Presently, the whole social, political and administrative environment is polluted. And to make fool of public, rulers of the system try to divert our minds. Earlier, they were in a hurry to buy ISO 2004, ISO 2011 kind of certificates. Indian Railways, State Government departments, tourism departments all were in the race to be certified ISO 2011 and felt great sense of pride in acquiring it.
Today government departments are involved in a different kind of race. They are making pages on Facebook and Twitter and with great pride and announcing it in media as an achievement. They have their own sites but are not bothered about its encouragement. Then what will they achieve by making a page at other places. Print media also plays to promote this foolishness. If Delhi Police, Kolkata Police and MCD are becoming a member of FB what change can they bring in public life. Where will they find news in it? What is the achievement?
Instead increase your ability and don’t base your credibility on their credentials. Are you listening guys?.
