Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said that Rs 100 crore will be spent for clean and green of the twin cities as part of Swatch Hyderabad drive, by providing requisite number of vehicles and equipment to the workers.
He directed the GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar to supply 1500 tricycles, two bins to each household and distribute autos to drivers for collecting garbage from houses, commercial establishments and institutions. He stressed the need for maintaining the city clean and green as part of Swatch Hyderabad program. ‘Our ultimate aim is to keep the twin cities clean and green’, he said during a review meeting with Somesh Kumar at his Camp office here on Saturday.
KCR approved trolley models show on the occasion to collect garbage. He asked the officials to supply autos to drivers for timely collection of garbage and trash from the houses, commercial establishments and removal of trash from collapsed buildings, see that the vehicles collecting garbage in green for maintaining clean and green. He also asked to supply 44 lakhs of garbage bins to 22 lakh households for the purpose.(NSS)
