New York, April 20: The most anticipated wedding of the millenium of Prince Williams -Kate Middleton will be shown live on YouTube’s live streaming channel, the video-sharing website has announced.
The live stream will focus on the April 29 wedding procession and the marriage ceremony at Westminster Abbey as well as the balcony kiss, Xinhua reported.
The official channel – www.youtube.com/theroyalchannel – will have live blog commentary of the event, and users can also upload video wishes for the couple on the site.
“This one is already heralded as the first of the internet age, where for the first time in thousands of years of royal history, the moment will be captured online and preserved forever,” YouTube said in its blog.
YouTube will provide the technical support for the broadcast and the footage will be provided by BBC.
Live streaming service YouTube Live was launched April 8.
