Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University will celebrate Republic Day on a grand scale this year. Dr. Mohammed Aslam Parveez VC will unfurl the flag at 10 a.m. and will give Republic Day message at the meeting to be held at DDE Auditorium. Noted Theater Artist, Mr. M.K. Raina of Safdar Hashmi Memorial Trust will make power point presentation on 1857 war of independence. Mr. M.V. Krishna Rao, former DGP will inaugurate exhibition at 11:30 a.m. This exhibition has been prepared by Safdar Hashmi Memorial Trust, New Delhi. Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, PVC will be the Chief Guest. Documentary on 1857 war of independence will also be screened. Bahadur Shah Zafar, Jhansi Lakshmi, Mangal Pandey, Azeemullah Khan, General Bakht Khan will be shown in their original dress and makeup.
