Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Telangana legislator Revanth Reddy today urged the State government to postpone Group II exams, cancel interviews and increase the number of posts in all the departments as RRB and SI exams fall in April.
In a letter addressed to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the TDP leader demanded that a whitepaper be released on vacant posts in various departments. While there are about 1.07 lakh vacant posts, the government was showing the figure at half, he alleged. The TDP leader sought removal of English merit clause in SI exam and issue Group III exams notification for non-executive posts, increase age limit for Excise SI posts, release TSPSC calendar for exams and ensure that textbooks for syllabus for competitive exams are made available and take stringent action against coaching centers for using bogus syllabus.
Revanth Reddy alleged that the Telangana Government has put out hopes of job aspirants. The Government should announce its policy on filling vacant posts by scientific approach, he added. Closure of many colleges deprived poor students of higher education, he said and alleged that the TRS leadership should keep its promise of providing jobs to the eligible in the State. (NSS)
