Dy CM promises to take drought relief measures

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari on Friday assured that the State Government would take all steps to deal with the drought situation across Telangana State.

Speaking to media persons in Warangal, Kadiyam admitted that the situation was worse in some parts of the State. He said 11 mandals of Warangal district have been declared drought hit and the agricultural workers from those areas were being shifted to other parts to provide them works under NREGS.

The Deputy CM steps were also being taken on war footing basis to provide drinking water in affected areas. He said officials have been directed to work in close coordination with different departments and elected representatives in all affected areas. (INN)
