Hyderabad: IB decided to maintain red alert at Hyderabad Airport along with other major airports of the country till the completion of General Elections 2019. This decision was taken after Bangladeshi Police foiled hijack attempt at Chittagong Airport.
According to the report published in Telangana Today, this red alert is also imposed to prevent any hijack attempt.
On the other hand, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has imposed a ban on the entry of visitors to Hyderabad Airport and other major airports across the country. This ban will continue until further orders.
Anti-terrorism mechanism and counter-terrorist plan at the airports are activated by CISF which is responsible for the security at airports.
At Hyderabad Airport, apart from CISF, Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) and Cyberabad Police are managing security at the airport.
