Ready for CBI probe: Ambati

Hyderabad, August 14: Suspended Pradesh Congress Committee secretary Ambati Rambabu on Friday welcomed the calls for a Central Bureau of Investigations probe on affairs of APIIC during his tenure at its head and demanded a CBI inquiry into the MP’s alleged role in human trafficking.

Talking to media persons, Mr Rambabu questioned the integrity of the person making charges of irregularities against him, Madhu Yaskhi Goud.

Mr Rambabu alleged that Mr Goud had swindled people of their money by promising to send people to the United States through illegal means.
He also said that a case is due to come up for hearing against Mr Goud on the charges.

The suspended Congress leader also alleged that Mr Goud had taken his family to the United States on forged documents and demanded a CBI inquiry into the forgery.

Meanwhile, Mr Goud refused to take questions on the issues raised by the suspended PCC secretary.

The MP had demanded a CBI probe into allegations of allotment of industrial lands to private persons by the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation at the time when Mr Rambabu was at its helm.
