Rao’s health deteriorates; party forces adjournment of AP House

Hyderabad, December 08: Even as the health condition of TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao deteriorated on the tenth day of his fast-unto-death today, party legislators forced adjournment of Andhra Pradesh Assembly for the day without transacting any business.

Expressing concern over Rao’s depleting protein levels which might lead to complications, doctors treating him suggested that he call off the fast at once.

“The team of doctors, after careful examination of Rao’s health, felt that he should break his fast immediately.

Otherwise, it might lead to serious complications,” K Prasada Rao, Director of Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), told reporters.

Senior TRS legislator and Chandrasekhar Rao’s nephew T Harish Rao said the family members too urged the party president to break the fast who did not agree to the advice.
