New Delhi : Where there’s Ranveer Singh, things have to be out of the box. It was no different this time at the Filmfare Awards!
The ‘Bajirao’ of Bollywood this year made an appearance in a one-of-a-kind suit with collage of posters of his favourite Hindi movies from the 80s and 90s, and pulled it off with ultimate swag.
Speaking about the unique suit, Ranveer’s stylist Nitasha Gaurav revealed, “We were looking to do something that would be crazy and cool as well as pertinent to this occasion. I called up Karrtik Dhingra, who is a menswear designer with expertise in printing and we firmed up the idea of this suit. I sourced images of posters from Ranveer’s favourite films from the Eighties and the Nineties, including ones with popular music that he loves. A lot of these films have cult popularity today. Dhingra did a brilliant job of printing the fabric and making the suit, and I think the result has been truly unique. It’s a tribute of sorts to the movies and what better place to wear it than the Filmfare awards!”
The suit has posters of films like ‘Ajooba’, ‘Deewar’, ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Baazigar’, ‘Ghayal’, ‘Aankhen’, ‘Vastav’ and more.
Another star, who slayed the night was Akshay Kumar. Bald head, black-white suit and a multi-coloured tie, was enough for Khiladi Kumar to steal the show.
Shahid Kapoor too joined the list, gracing the night in an all white suit.
The Badshah of Bollywood chose to keep it simple in a black suit, whereas Karan Johar attended the 63rd Filmfare Awards in a black-white printed jacket. (ANI)
