Ramana Gogula quizzed by CCS sleuths

Hyderabad, October 23: Noted music director Ramana Gogula was on Thursday questioned by the sleuths of Central Crime Station (CCS) of the City Police in a case relating to alleged misappropriation of funds of a film production house.

The CCS took up the case after a court directed it to investigate the allegations of misappropriation.

The case was filed by the representative of a Telugu film production house, Green Mango Productions, which recently made the Sumanthstarrer Boni.

The film was directed by Anitha Sukhru and Raghuveer Sukhru. The production house had alleged that Ramana Gogula, who penned music for the film, had misappropriated money during the making of the film. Ramana Gogula is also the producer of the film.

“When quizzed by the financiers, the music director was reportedly not giving them proper details of the expenditure on the film,” CCS inspector V Venkatesh said.

The financial executive of the production house, D Kishore, recently approached a court stating that the music director misappropriated Rs 3 crore.

The court directed the CCS to investigate the alleged misappropriation and submit a report.

Police registered cases against Ramana Gogula to appear before them for questioning. “The music director, however, claims that he did not misappropriate any money and we are investigating the matter,” Venkatesh said. Ramana Gogula was let off after questioning.
