Ajmer, Janaury Members of the House in the Rajasthan assembly can now raise questions online and also get their answers online and have a lot of e-motions.
The (NIC) has been working for the past six years to make a programme allowing interface between various government state departments and the assembly on the internet. The assembly will send various questions to the department on the intranet whose replies will be digitally signed to ensure validity.
In the first phase an intranet will be developed to link assembly members to the state departments and in the second phase the members will be connected so they can post their queries.
A meeting is organized on 11 January to see a live demo of the intranet and to discuss the strategies to put the system into practice, constituting the first phase of the project.
The project planners are also planning to organize 3-5 days workshop for legislators to teach them how to go online. There is a provision for Rs50, 000 computer allowance to get laptops for the legislators by the end of March 2010. Once the queries are solved the details and their information will be available to the public. This system is said to be implemented by the end of this financial year.
