Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore has suggested to the people to come out of their houses only if necessary keeping the uninterrupted rain in view. Heavy rain lashed Charminar, Khairatabad, LB Nagar and at several places and GHMC officials alerted Emergency teams. Dana Kishore was reviewing the situation time and again. He asked the people not to venture out where rain was pouring.
Meanwhile, Weather man announced there was scope for heavy rain at Charminar and Khairathabad, LB Nagar places. Already, Tank Bund, Koti, Begum Bazar, Abids, Nampally, Basheer Bagh, Liberty, Hyderguda, Himayat Nagar, Lakdikapool, Sulatn Bazar and other places received heavy rain. Motorists faced hardship due to rain with traffic jam. At Krishna Nagar near Yousufguda, Durgamata pandal was washed away in rain water. Petrol Bunk’s top slab collapsed due to heavy rain in Towlichowki.
GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan was supervising the situation from Control Room keeping heavy rain warning.
