BJP senior leader and former Union Minister Purandeswari has strongly objected to proposed re-designing of irrigation projects by Telangana Government.
Speaking to media persons in Ongole on Sunday, Purandeshwari said that the re-designing of Telangana’s irrigation projects would hurt the interest of people of Andhra Pradesh and therefore, she said that AP Government should oppose the same. She also advised AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to expedite the construction of Polavaram Project. She said that Central Government has agreed to provide funds for Polavaram project and therefore, the State Government should do a proper follow-up for early completion of the project. (INN)
