Hyderabad, August 18: PRP demanded that the Andhra Pradesh government order a CBI inquiry into the affairs of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.
“All parties in the state have been demanding an inquiry into the affairs of the TTD. The Vigilance and Enforcement Department has already conducted a probe into the TTD affairs while the state government is about to appoint another committee on instructions of the High Court.
In this backdrop, an exhaustive investigation by the CBI is essential to expose the bigwigs involved in the murky deals,” PRP Political Affairs Committee member C Ramachandraiah told a press conference at the party headquarters here.
He welcomed TTD former chairman B Karunakar Reddy’s demand for a CBI probe into the temple affairs.
“He (Karunakar) is seeking to come clean amidst allegations of wrongdoings even during his tenure as TTD chief.
