Hyderabad, December 27: In Andhra Pradesh, the protest demonstrations continued in Telangana region in favour of separate Telangana state even as Telangana Rastra Samithi President Chandrasekhara Rao has demanded the Government to withdraw all forces from Telangana region.
He also demanded the police to release TRS party workers and students who have been taken arrested and withdraw all cases.
Alleging that the Government was showing partisan attitude, he said nothing can stop the formation of separate Telangana state now. He asked the Centre to announce the commencement of process for carving out Telanagana state maximum by Monday.
Meanwhile, the 10-day Southern sojourn of President Prathibha Devisingh Patil at Rastrapathi Nilayam in Secunderabad from Tomorrow has been cancelled. The State Government has received a communication to this effect late last evening.
On the other hand, with consensus lacking over the agitation, the political parties came under Telangana Joint Action Committee are pulling in different directions. While Telugu Desam Party made it clear that it would carry on the struggle on its own, differences of opinion between Congress and TRS were also developed over united struggle. JAC convener Kodandaram has been continuing efforts to bring all political parties to come on a common platform to carry forward the agitation for statehood for Telangana.
