n what could be seen as an example of Bollywood celebrities increasingly lending their mite for social causes, actor and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt has said that the proceeds of the wardrobe of her next film ‘Jism 2’ will go to PETA India, an organisation working for the welfare of animals.
In a tweet yesterday, the team of ‘Jism 2’ said, “Part Proceeds from the auction of the Jism 2 wardrobe to go to PETA India!” The tweet was then retweeted by filmmaker Pooja Bhatt. Pooja Bhatt recently announced that clothes of PETA supporter Sunny Leone and other Jism 2 actors will be sold to benefit charity.
The auction will also include the costumes of actors Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh, who star in the film.
Further, ‘Jism 2’ actor Sunny Leone and model and film actor Dino Morea have both separately shot campaigns promoting PETA’s homeless dog adoption campaign.
Sunny’s ad for PETA will be released later this year. Pooja Bhatt has adopted eight dogs from the street and they now live with her at home.
Welcoming the initiative by Pooja Bhatt, PETA India’s Chief Functionary Poorva Joshipura said, “Pooja Bhatt, Sunny Leone, and co-producer Dino Morea are all already supporters of PETA’s homeless dog adoption campaign.
We give Pooja Bhatt and the entire Jism 2 team two paws up for taking that initiative further by making PETA India a beneficiary of the Jism 2 wardrobe auction.”
