Pro-Jagan Leaders Hail Election of Kiran Reddy

Hyderabad, November 26: Several Congress leaders, considered close to Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, yesterday welcomed the election of N Kiran Kumar Reddy as the new chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.

“We can march ahead under the leadership of Kiran Kumar Reddy on the path of welfare programmes launched by late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy,” J Ramesh, a Congress legislator, told reporters.

D Sudheer Reddy, another party legislator, expressed confidence that the new chief minister would effectively implement the numerous welfare and development programmes launched by Rajasekhara Reddy.

Konda Surekha, a die-hard supporter of Jagan, tonight called on the chief minister here. Kiran Kumar Reddy gave audience to several Congress MLAs and other leaders at the Lake View government guest house.

Jagan’s uncle and MLC Y S Vivekananda Reddy said there are no groups in the party and all are Congressmen. “There are no groups and we are all Congressmen.”

Vivekananda Reddy had earlier written a letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi expressing loyalty to the party.
